Wow... This is the first time in five(!) years I've sat down and drawn a proper traditional drawing of a horse! Far too long time, and I sure felt I'm rusty *lol* The angle is totally wrong from the reference, and lots of shades and stuff too... ^^'

The horse is of the breed North Swedish Horse, and he is a stallion named Ceasar 1820. Drawn from a picture in a small photo book about north swedish horses and life today for them and their owners.

The breed is a draft horse, that are quite small and lightly built for such. I want one <3 They mostly have the most wonderful temperament, lots of wavy mane and just the right amount of hair around their hooves ^^

This is coloured pencils, derwent, and some unknown brand of crayons. First time I've used the set, actually. I'm feeling seriously great now, as I fell I've finally started up on drawing again! ^^

The background sucks XD I have very few colours, and none could be able to fit into the mountains far away...

beautiful work! I nearly mistook the thumbnail for a photo until I clicked on it and saw the background. lovely colors and shading, and the anatomy is perfect.

^^ North swedish horses that has grown their mane have a fabulous such <3 Much, wavy and looong, and much more fluffy than a freisian's for example XP
